Dr. Pike will ask you questions to find out more information regarding your health.
For example, some common questions include:

- Was this due to an accident or injury?
- What makes it worse?
- What makes it better?

The physical exam may include specific orthopedic and neurological tests to assess range of motion, muscle strength/tone, and posture. We do not perform x- rays at our office. If x-rays or MRI’s are necessary, we are more than happy to set up an appointment for you.
After the consultation, treatment to follow may include, but is not limited to, Deep Tissue Massage (please see our Massage page), Electrical Stimulation, Hot Packs or Cold Packs and Manipulation (Adjustment).

FAQ'S
- What conditions do chiropractors
treat?
Chiropractic treatments can be used to treat conditions including, but not limited to: back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints, headaches, extremity pain, and pregnancy induced pain. - How is chiropractic adjustment
performed?
A chiropractic adjustment ( or manipulation) is performed by the chiropractor typically by using his/her hands to manipulate the joints of the body- primarily the spine- in order to reduce pain, and restore joint function. A chiropractor can adapt the procedure to meet the specific needs of each patient. - Why is there a popping sound?
Adjustment of a joint may result in the release of a gas bubble between the joints. The noise is caused by the change in pressure within the joint. - Is chiropractic appropriate
for children?
Yes. Children can be treated with chiropractic adjustments. These adjustments are adapted for each patient, and even very young children may benefit from treatment. - Is chiropractic treatment safe?
Chiropractic has been widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal complaints. However, no health treatment is completely free from potential adverse effects. Please read our Informed Consent Form for more information.
